Since the last time I tried this for both Katsucon or AUSA no one came up to me in the Lobby (so sad) ... I'm begging you to ping me. Nov 7 3:00 PM	November Pre-AUSA Meet Up 9 attended (est.) – 5.002 Hey folks, It's been a while since we've had a Meet Up and the Library is a good spot for any new folks who might like to come out for the first time and meet some of the Members. I'll reserve the Myerberg Room from 3 to about 4:45. There is street parking around the library and some free street parking a block or so away. If anyone's interested, we can head back to the Club Room (aka, my house) for some gaming or anime watching. If you're thinking of going to AUSA (11/20-22) drop by and let's coordinate. I've got a room booked for Saturday night and I'll be heading down Saturday morning. I hope to see some of you there (fingers crossed) :) It's no fun sitting in the Library alone ... ha ha ha. Sep 24 6:30 PM	Screening of the Eureka Seven Movie: Pocketful of Rainbows 1 attended (est.) – No rating yet All, The Eureka Seven Movie: Pocketfull of Rainbows is being shown one night only on 9/24/09 at 7:30. Click here for the list of Participating theaters I've read some reviews on the movie ... some liked it some didn't. For those expecting more of the anime series, this film includes all the characters from the anime series but it takes place in an alternate universe so things are a little jumbled. Anyway ... this would be a goo Meet Up event. I've got a PS3 and a big flat screen TV and two other TVs that we can hook other systems up to. I think Dave has a Wii. I've got a few good fighting games (Naruto, Soul Caliber 4) that we can use in the tournament. The schedule for the night would be ... 7-8:00: Social Gathering - Meet and Greet (BYO Refreshments) We can order Pizza at some point. Tournament Starts at 8:00. We'll do a Round Robin and decide on Tournament Rules. The event will end around 10 PM or so. Jun 20 5:00 PM	June Meet Up - 20th Century Boys 3 attended (est.) – 4.503 All, Ok ... I guess an actual agenda for these meeting might make things a little more appealing. I'll take the 21+ of of this event and open it to the whole group. I've recently gotten a copy of the first 20th Century Boys movie which came out in Japan last year. This is the first in a three part trilogy which stays pretty true to the 20th Century Boys Manga. If you haven't read 20th Century Boys yet, check it out ... good story, lots of plot twists and sub-plots. The second film came out this Spring in Japan and the third is set to come out this Fall in Japan. We'll start the meeting with general Meet and Greet from about 5 to 6 PM ... I'll have some anime going on in the back ground and I know there's an XBox and PS2, so bring your games if you have them. I believe there's a sale going on at Collectors Corner, so definitely check out their store. A few things to cover ... Final Fantasy Concert and Event Otakon plans Ideas for future events At around 6 PM, we'll settle in for the movie. Once the movie's done ... we'll hang out until 8 PM for general discussion.
