Dilworth is a New York-based animation director and designer whose work has appeared on CBS, Showtime, HBO, FOX, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, MTV, Canal +, and Arte. His films have been featured in museum programs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. He is the founder of Stretch Films, Inc., one of the leading animation design and production studios in New York City. Dilworth has been an Executive Board Member of ASIFA-East International Film Organization since 1991. He has written for Animation World Magazine, and ASIFA-East, and was an editor for the ANYMATOR newsletter (1990 - 1994). Dilworth is also a member of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Association of Independent Film and Videomakers, and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Marc Lougee | www.thepitandthependulumshortfilm.blogsp ot.com Marc Lougee has over 20 years? experience directing animation and visual effects on television series, pilots, music videos and commercials. Recent work includes MTV's "Celebrity Deathmatch" (television series broadcast, 52 episodes), CBC's "What It's Like Being Alone" (Episodic Director & series Creative Producer), the BBC's "Ace Lightning" television series (Director of Animation) and The Discovery Kids! Live action / CGI television series, ?Dinosapien, (Director of Animation & Visual Effects Director). Marc continues to develop new projects with partner & producer Susan Ma thru their company, Hand Made Heroes. Several series and short film projects are in development including a feature-length stop-motion animation film. Sean McBride | www.seanmcbride.com Award-winning director Sean McBride has worked on television animated series for Nickelodeon, Disney and Cartoon Network. He is the producer and creator of the acclaimed web series "Tony Cartoons", which received the Writing/Humor Award at the ASIFA-East Film Festival and appears weekly on Salon.com. In 2003 McBride was officially selected at the Sundance Film Festival for his short film "Dreamscapes" in addition to winning many awards for his animation, including a Student Academy AwardŽ for his short "That Special Monkey" (2000). McBride studied animation at the The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He currently is assistant directing on Nickelodeon's Umizumis and lives in Brooklyn. Nina Paley | www.ninapaley.com Nina's Adventures, Nina's semi-autobiographical, often experimental, not-quite-underground alternative weekly comic strip, first appeared in the Santa Cruz Comic News and soon spread to the LA Reader, Comic Relief Magazine, the Funny Times, and the San Francisco Examiner. I also created two solo "alternative" comic books for Dark Horse Comics, and various shorter pieces were published in anthologies by Last Gasp, Rip Off Press, the feminist Laugh Lines Press, and Kitchen Sink Press. She released her first mainstream daily, Fluff, with Universal Press Syndicate. Fluff enjoyed a modest run in about 40 mainstream newspapers worldwide. Her works include world's first completely cameraless IMAX film, Pandorama. Lev Polyakov | www.levpolyakov.com Lev Polyakov, 18, was born in St. Petersburg Russia, and moved to New York at the age of 4. By the age of 14 he had developed excellent drawing skills thanks to studies with his father, artist & designer Alexander Polyakov. Lev was taught the basics of traditional cel animation by Signe Baumane, while helping her with the production of her short film, "The Dentist". In the course of three years Lev created several animated shorts, including "Piper the Goat and the Peace Pipe" (2005) , the winner of the first prize at Ottawa 2005 International Animation Festival in Pre-College Film category (?The energy and bizarre humour of this high school student film suggests an original talent with great promise.?), and "Morning, Day, Evening, Night, ... and Morning Again" (2006), screened at the Multivison International Festival of Animation Arts in St. Petersburg and nominated for the Best Undergraduate Film award at Ottawa 2006 International Animation Festival. "Lev is improving by leaps and bounds. I know he will be a filmmaker of renown someday," said David Levy, the president of ASIFA East. At present time Lev attending the Animation Program at School of Visual Arts, New York. Patrick Smith | www.blendfilms.com Patrick Smith has written, produced, animated and directed five award winning films from 2000-2006. His bizarre, morphing style and symbolic stories of identity have extended beyond film. His Public Art Installations, paintings, and mulit-media projects, have earned the artist a multitude of accolades outside the world of animation. Smith is also a Professor and Senior Thesis advisor at the Pratt Institute in New York, a fellow with the New York Foundation of the Arts, and a curator for several international film and animation festivals. His studio is located in Tribeca, New York City.
